Bio-laminate:
Bringing the trend of aesthetics and engineering over to our paintjob, we decided to begin experimenting with the use of organic plant oil-based paints and pigmentation using biochar made from the refuse of organic matter. This culminated in the manufacture of our Bio-Laminate, a carbon-oil composite that can be used to coat specifically hydrophobic PU surfaces with a matte-smooth finish using an airbrush.

Race-Track:
Testing methods of pushing automobiles to their limits has always been a major theme of racing, so we built our own race-track, capable of propelling our car to competition-oriented speeds using the release of pressure from a pressurized air canister, all on a smooth surface. Along with this, we have developed empirical ways of measuring factors affecting efficiency such as the velocity, lateral diversion and force-modelling using advanced sensors and camera systems.

Wind Tunnel:
No true race-car is complete without a wind tunnel test and a thorough examination of its flow design with varying parameters. Our wind tunnel is designed to visualize the flow of fluid across the car’s surface to monitor wake formation and drag reduction, along with being able to compute the exact drag coefficients using load cells. A core aspect of our tunnel is the design of the 'wafer', a giant piece of art, consisting of recycled pen bodies, aligned to make laminae, straightening the flow of air as cleanly as possible.
